Ashley (BA ’12) first met Brad (BS’ 14) in the elevator at Fenn Tower. He was with two other friends (future groomsmen Aaron and Justin) and they kept hitting the bell button to make the alarm quickly go off, acting like they were in a boxing match. The only other person in the elevator, Ashley had no idea who these crazy freshman boys were. All she knew was that Brad was tall, cute, and judging by his CSU soccer pants, on the soccer team. When Ashley got back to her dorm room, she immediately told her roommate, “I think I just met my future husband.”

They both laughed, then did exactly what any other college kid would – look up the freshman on the athletic site. When they found the tall, cute kid Ashley had just seen in the elevator, she called dibs, just to be safe.

It took Brad and Ashley six months to talk to each other, and another year to date.

“It was one of those relationships where everyone knew we should be together, but us. Some of my friends even started calling us Brashley (hence, our wedding hashtag, #WeddingBrash) before we started dating in 2010,” Ashley said.

Finally, as Ashley had predicted to her roommate years earlier, she married Brad in December 2015.
